Bobby Stitt Is New KRH Chief Nursing Officer
Bobby Stitt, RN has recently been hired as Kingfisher Regional Hospital’s new chief nursing officer. Stitt has worked at Kingfisher Regional Hospital since December, 2006, serving in several different capacities; nursing shift supervisor, medical/ surgical director and interim chief nursing officer since, June, 2008. Stitt stated, “I am excited to take this position as chief nursing officer for KRH. We have an exceptional nursing department, and I feel privileged to work with them as well as all the team members at the hospital.”
Stitt received his RN from Redlands Community College and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from UCO. He is planning on going back to school to obtain his masters in nursing.
Stitt served five years in the US Air Force in the field of law enforcement. He is a veteran of Desert Storm. After his military service, he pursued his degree in journalism, while being self-employed. Because of his great desire to serve in the community, he began working part time as a nurse’s aide while obtaining his nursing degree.
Stitt is a life-long resident of Kingfisher County. He was born and raised on a farm north of Dover. He and his wife Dana have been married for 19 years and have three children; a 16 year old son, Ryan; an 11 year old son, Nicholas; and an eight year old daughter, Sophie, who attend school in Dover.
When asked what his future plans are for the department, Stitt said, “The primary goal for our nursing services at KRH is to serve the healthcare needs of our communities with excellence, compassion, and commitment. To achieve this goal we will build on our solid foundation of caring and focus on the quality of care. We will continue to raise the bar on the quality of care provided at KRH.”
