Kingfisher Medical Foundation Hosts 4 Man Scramble

Saturday, April 18th, The Kingfisher Medical Foundation under the direction of committee chairman Mary Jo Bullis recently held its first golf tournament. There were 26 registered teams with 25 teams playing. “Our golf committee was committed to making this event a huge success. They assembled 45 hole sponsors and collected individual prizes from area businesses. We feel extremely blessed to associate with a strong knit community who is willing to give of their time and resources,” states Bullis. “A special thank you goes to my committee; Kenneth Glazier, Michelle Townsend, JoAnn Smith, Ricky Turner , and Angie Ulsaker. These five individuals are very knowledgeable and a complete joy to work with. We were able to raise over $10,000.00 for our first tournament and we are looking forward to next year’s event. The proceeds will benefit Kingfisher Regional Hospital for new equipment for their new facility.”

The tournament slated 3 flights, with 8 teams in the first and second and 9 teams in the third flight. Money prizes were awarded for first, second and third place. Prizes also were given for longest drive, closest to the pin, best dressed and hole in one; placed on three different holes. Each participant was given a free ticket for additional prizes. Roger Phillips of Phillips Ditching provided a delicious lunch while Kingfisher Regional Hospital provided a continental breakfast.
