Organizers of Kingfisher County Celebrates Life 2 the Max announced scheduling changes for the next two weeks of free Saturday programs.
Scheduled this Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Kingfisher First Baptist Church gymnasium are:
•Fitness Boot Camp with Matt Scott, Randy Henderson and Lisa Peterman, beginning at 9 a.m. This high-intensity, high-speed fat-burning workout will feature a challenging combination of aerobics and strength training exercises. No special equipment required.
•Tai Chi with Cynthia McGough, beginning at 10:30 a.m. This martial arts-based low intensity workout focuses on slow, controlled movements to stretch and strengthen muscles and enhance balance.
Scheduled next Saturday, Feb. 13, (just in time for that special Valentine’s Day date) at Memorial Hall, 123 W. Miles, Kingfisher, are:
•Ballroom Dancing with Rebecca Lambrecht, at 9 a.m.
•Country and Western Dancing with Lambrecht, at 10:10 a.m.
Lambrecht, a Kingfisher resident and Kingfisher High School graduate, is a certified teacher in all levels of couples’ dance. Both of these classes are geared toward beginners and single participants as well as couples are welcome.
These programs, as well as the Saturday events planned through March 6, are free and open to everyone.
Weigh-in for fitness challenge participants is scheduled for 30 minutes prior to each program. |
