Friday, May 7th, The Kingfisher Medical Foundation under the direction of committee chairman Mary Jo Bullis recently held their golf tournament. “This is the second year that our foundation has held a tournament and our committee was committed to making this event a huge success. With 20 teams registered, and over 40 hole sponsors the day was a success. The golf committee also collected individual prizes from area businesses that was given away at the end of tournament play. We feel extremely blessed to be associated with a strong knit community who is willing to give of their time and resources,” states Bullis. The proceeds from the tournament bought a new recumbent bike for the rehabilitation department at Kingfisher Regional Hospital as well as a new Samsung television for the patients in the pre-surgery area.”
The tournament slated 3 flights, with 6 teams in the first and second and 5 teams in the third flight. Kingfisher Public School Supertindent, Don Scales team won first place in A- flight; Gary Wilson's Team came in first place in B-flight and Ranger Oil Field Services came in first place in C-Fllight. Money prizes were awarded for first, second and third place. Prizes also were given for longest drive, closest to the pin, best dressed and a chance for hole- in- one grand prize. Boeckman Ford of Kingfisher provided the hole-in-one prize; LuGreg Trucking provided the prize for closest to the pin; and Keller-Williams Payne Realty provided the longest drive prize. Roger Phillips of Phillips Ditching was a gold sponsor, they provided a delicious lunch while Kingfisher Regional Hospital provided the continental breakfast. BancFirst was corporate sponsor.
