Kingfisher Medical Foundation Holds Annual "Lights of Love" Christmas Ceremony

December 10, 2009, Kingfisher Medical Foundation held their annual “Lights of Love” Christmas tree lighting ceremony and open house. Over 100 people from the community attended this special event. Mrs. Mary Jo Bullis, Kingfisher Medical Foundation Events Chairman, welcomed everyone who attended. She thanked them for their time, and especially for the donations made to the foundation. Each light or star on the12 foot Christmas tree represented was in honor or memory of a special loved one or friend. During the ceremony, 67 seconds of silence was recognized for each remembrance and then Mrs. Bullis lit the tree.

This year’s donations bought two “Broselow” pediatric crash carts and pediatric tapes. The check from the foundation was received by KRH Chief Nursing Officer, Bobby Stitt. One cart will be kept in the emergency department, while the other one will be kept on the medical surgical floor.

During the ceremony, Pastor Shane Rackley gave the message while the special Christmas music was provided by the Gilmour Elementary Honor Choir. Refreshments were served afterwards, while Santa Clause made a special appearance for pictures with the little ones.
